South Petherton est oppidum Somersetensis comitatus in Anglia occidentali situm. Ibi nundinae tenebantur ab anno 1044, mercatus autem ab anno 1213.[1] Ibi et in vicis adiacentibus Over Stratton, Compton Durville, Drayton, Wigborough, Yeabridge homines fere 3 250 habitant.
